Colin Gerner - Molly met Colin when they both appeared on ABC The View during Brain Cancer Awareness Month. Colin lost his brother GJ to Brain Cancer, but not before they formed #StacheStrong together, an organization devoted to raising funds and awareness for brain cancer research. #StacheStrong and #BrewStacheStrong have given our family a purpose that can directly affect the progress made in brain cancer research. Colin is a fierce advocate, who is continuing his brother's legacy and is a leader in flipping the script to end brain cancer. www.stachestrong.org
Greg Flores - Greg is the Executive Director of Cancer For College. Since its inception, CFC has granted over $3.5M to more than 1400 college-bound cancer warriors from around the country. Scholars are also invited to educational programming like the CFC Inspire Project in which Molly participates. She meets monthly with other cancer thrivers with Greg and other mentors. Molly recently spent the weekend at Disneyland with Greg and other CFC mentors to learn the management and leadership skills of the Disney Team! www.cancerforcollege.org
Bill Zito is Molly's friend first. He is her biggest fan and an incredible human being. Bill first introduced our family to PELOTONIA, a cancer-fighting organization out of Columbus. The centerpiece of their fundraising is a 3-day (bike) Ride Weekend. This year in August Molly will be singing the National Anthem at the start of the Downtown Race. Bill ignited our family's love for Hockey. We may live in 3 different states, but the Oldhams watch Hockey "together" and the power of rooting for the same team, has brought us great joy during difficult times. Molly enjoys singing the National Anthem for Hockey Fights Cancer Night for the Florida Panthers, but the best part of it all is having the entire Zito family in our lives. www.nhl.com/panthers
Jeannine Marks may be retiring from Stewarts Caring Place this year, but her mark on the organization is undeniable. When Molly was diagnosed with cancer, close family friend Betsy Marchetta called from her own hospital bed and suggested that we contact Jeannine at Stewarts Caring Place, as they provided free services and programs to families fighting cancer. Betsy said, "Jeannine will take care of all of you". And take care of us, is what she does. Jeannine has connected our family to counseling, wellness, and other families. Her understanding and her kindness, her willingness to spend time listening, and her special way of making everything special, deserve being honored tonight. www.stewartscaringplace.org
